I have finally mastered the "pretzel knot!" I was having trouble keeping my hemp strands parallel though the knot and it was just turning out all kinds of funky-bad. However, I have finally figured it out! Whee! *Happy Cat Dance*

I understand where the writer is coming from - the destructive capabilities of modern technology, the harmful effects that human civilization has had on the global environment and localized ecosystems, and so on. I realize that, while every organism utilizes resources within its immediate environment, the massive human population and the exhaustive methods through which we gather our resources sets the human animal apart from the rest of the Kingdom. His message that we, as a species, have caused irreparable damage to the planet and to other species is not lost on me.
However, culture is the means by which humans adapt to changing climates, landscapes, and any other environmental change. Technology, from flint knives and Clovis projectile points to nanobots and vaccines, is how we have managed to survive and thrive in harsh climates like the Namib Desert or the Arctic Circle. We are soft, fleshy, and amazingly weak creatures. We require care-giving until a ridiculously old age compared to other animals. You've all heard of the turtle eggs that are abandoned immediately after the mother lays them. It's human society and human innovation that has allowed us to make it to where we are. It is human culture that has created an environment which allows the writer life, let alone the capability of making such a statement.
The more I travel, the more I read, the more I learn through Anthropology classes and through life in general; the more amazed I am by human potential. We are an incredibly clever and persistent species. I totally agree with the writer that these traits lead to unforeseen environmental problems. But, I also believe that it is these same traits that will lead to a solution.
At any rate, the guy made me think...

Your result for The Brutally Honest Personality Test...
Pollyanna- INFP
27% Extraversion, 80% Intuition, 47% Thinking, 7% Judging

Of all the types, you have to be one of the hardest to find fault in. You have a selfless and caring nature. You're a good listener and someone who wants to avoid conflict. You genuinely desire to do good.
Of course, these all add up to an incredibly overpowered conscience which makes you feel guilty and responsible when anything goes wrong. Of course, it MUST be your fault EVERYTIME.
Though you're constantly on a mission to find the truth, you have no use for hard facts and logic, which is a source of great confusion for those of us with brains. Despite this, in a losing argument, you're not above spouting off inaccurate fact after fact in an effort to protect your precious values.
You're most probably a perfectionist, which in this case, is a bad thing. Any group work is destined to fail because of your incredibly high standards.
Disregard what I said before. You're just easy to find fault in as everyone else!
Luckily, you're generally very hard on yourself, meaning I don't need to waste my precious time insulting you. Instead, just find all your own faults and insult yourself.

If you enjoyed that test, make sure you check out my latest venture: The Presidential Capacity Quiz - It's much shorter, just as fun and just as accurate. Find out how far you would get in the race for President. Are you fit to rule the free world?

From
Cats:
I live with six cats who are kind enough to let me share their home. Ash is my baby. We've been through a lot together. There are days when I feel like I connect better with him than with most humans. Imp and Misty are litter-mates. Imp is the Princess of the bunch, though he is clumsy as fuck. Misty is very mellow and really enjoys his kibble. Lugh has a quiet meow, a loud purr, and is a decided cuddleslut. Aradia is Lori's kitty through and through. She only likes me when she's in heat. (Not sure what that's about...) Seven is the newest addition to the family. She is 3 months old and enjoys eating paper products. I try not to gush over my kitties but I love them to pieces. I also identify as a house cat as my fursona.
Bi the Weigh:
This is how Samii and I met - the now-defunct "Bi the Weigh" Meetup Group for Bisexual / Lesbian BBW's of Chicagoland. Definitely had some fun experiences and met some amazing people including my best friends (and, in a way, even my sweetie) through the group. Also met some Cougars and drama-queens. All-in-all, I miss the group and the flirting and the excuse to go out and play. (Love you, girls! <3)
Studio 21:
Hee. That was a fun Meetup.
Adventurous:
I'm willing to try anything twice. More than willing, really. 'Nuff said.
Free Love:
I'm bi / pansexual. I'm poly. I'm flirtatious. I'm loving. I enjoy being naked. I like to play. I feel that whatever happens amongst consenting adults is up to them. I think this is what she means by "free love." I guess I'm somewhat of a hippie kind-of-gal too. :)~
